CA$H BA$H Silent Auction Rules
The silent auction begins promptly at 5:00 p.m. All items in the silent auction have bid sheets attached or fixed nearby. Persons desiring to bid must do so by writing their name and amount bid on the bid sheet.
Each new bid must be written on the topmost blank line available on the bid sheet. Once entered, a bid may not be withdrawn.
Please be advised that each item has a specified minimum starting bid and a minimum incremental bid. Each increase in bid must equal or exceed the minimum incremental bid amount stated on the bid sheet in order to be valid. A bid will be disqualified if it does not meet the minimum starting bid or does not meet or exceed the minimum incremental bid. In this case, the bid of the preceding bidder will be honored.
Under no circumstances may a bidding card be removed from the table. If so, the item will be removed from the auction.
If your bid is bettered, you may re-bid on the same item as often as you wish.
A bid that meets the "guaranteed bid" (on those items where offered), automaticly purchases item. No further bids will be accepted on that item.
The person offering the highest bid prior to closing will be deemed the purchaser.
The Auction judge reserves the right to invalidate bids and sell the items to the next highest bidder. All rulings by the Auction Judge are final.
A written bid is a binding offer to purchase the item. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. Items are not to be returned to donors for exchange or refund.
The silent auction tables will close at 15 minute intervals starting at 8:30 p.m. No new bids will be accepted after the table closes. The official Auction time will be kept at the auction table.
Successful bidders can pay for their items and collect them at the cashiers’ table. Cash or check only. Checks payable to "Robert Ressler Foundation". Any bidder not making arrangements for payment in full at the cashier's desk by the end of the evening will forfeit their right to purchase the item. Items may be removed from the hall only by exhibiting a "PAID" receipt at the door at the time of departure.
Note: The TV screen may not display the actual current high bid as it is updated appx. every 15 minutes. Check the bid sheets for the current high bid amount!
